Bassani’s garden (2020)

Giorgio Bassani (1916 – 2000) was a famous Italian writer. Today, his novel Il giardino dei Finzi Contini (1962) is considered as a classic of Italian literature. It is a beautiful, moving love story, situated in pre-war Ferrara. The title refers to the gardens of the family Finzi-Contini, were, on the tennis court, the Jewish narrator falls in love with Micól, the daughter of professor Finzi-Contini.

Years after reading the novel for the first time, in 2020 it inspired the print shown below.
